Sotai Therapies was created by Bec Fish & Jeremy Trimnell-Ritchard’s common vision to provide support for people to live a fulfilling life.
Over the past 5 years they have been dedicated to hosting seasonal retreats, yoga intensives, cooking workshops, community Ki Yoga classes plus offering Shiatsu and Remedial Massage therapies to get people back on track.
Sotai Therapies was the chosen business name as Sotai is a traditional Japanese therapy system defined generally as ‘balance and health through natural movement’. This system of particular resistance type exercises corrects imbalances for people by using harmonious breath, positive mental activity and by embracing a healthy diet.
Each season the Ki Yoga Practice focuses on balancing the particular organs relating to that time of year. For example, in spring we cleanse the liver and gall bladder by twisting and side stretching which helps release toxins and improve flexibility (both in your body and in your life). Spring is represented by the Wood element in which we aim to help people shed some of the tight, stiff ache associated with the cold contracted nature of winter.
In every season we recommend certain foods & cooking tips to aid the organs in their healthy function.
This coupled with a regular Ki Yoga practice promotes a healthier & happier lifestyle.
